Ducky Crochet Pattern

Materials -

- 9mm Crochet Hook

- Chunky chenille yarn

- Safety Eyes

- Yellow Yarn (For Beak and Feet)

- White Yarn (For body)

This pattern is largely adapted from the fantastic (and free) one by Sweet Softies, so I recommend checking out their page and patterns!

While this pattern is no-sew, the feet, wings, and beak are crocheted on top of the body afterwards.

Body - White Yarn

1 - 8sc in mc
2 - inc around
3 - (1sc, inc) around
4,5,6,7 - sc around
8 - dec around
9 - inc around
10 - 22sc, 2 inc
11 - 23sc, 2 inc, 1sc
12 - 24 sc, 2 inc, 2sc
13 - 25sc, 2 inc, 3sc
14 - sc around

Attach safety eyes using point of body to center, 8sc apart. 

15 - (sc, dec)x2, 10sc, (dec,sc)x3, dec 2, sc, dec
16 - (sc, dec) around
17 - dec around

Beak - 

On the same row you attached the eyes, surface crochet 2 stitches 3sc in from each eye. Fasten off and tie tail and start threads toghether, then tuck into body.

Wings - 

1/4 of the way down the body (after your 12 incs) and directly down from each eye, surface crochet 3 HDCs into the body, then slst once, 1st in towards the front. This creates a sort of asymetrical hemisphere.

Feet - 

1st in from each wing, surface crochet 2dc where the the body starts to flatten. Tie the tail of the yarn to the start of the yarn and tuck into body.
